Visual DLL

Simply Solutions announces update to Visual DLL to support Microsoft Visual Basic 5.0!
What is Visual DLL:

Visual DLL makes your collection of Microsoft Visual Basic routines into a standard Windows DLL with true function exports.  This makes your VB code callable from any Windows program. The calling program won't know your code is written in Visual Basic because standard C/C++ style parameter interfaces are exposed to the outside world.   Internally, the calls are translated into VB and then back.  Anything you can do in VB can be part of the DLL, including access to OCX's, databases and the displaying of Forms.  Visual DLL supports both 16 and 32-bit DLL's, using Visual Basic 3.0, 4.0, 5.0 or 6.0.

  • DLLs created with Simply Solutions Visual DLL are true Windows DLLs callable from any application that provides a standard DLL interface
  • Interface with legacy applications that require the Standard C interface.
  • Create 16 or 32 bit DLLs without requiring OLE.
  • Define your own DLL function exports, parameters and types.
  • Protect your source code by delivering DLLs linkable to applications written in C, VB, Excel, Delphi, PowerBuilder, etc.
  • Automatically generates C header files and Visual Basic Declare statements so that DLL functions can be easily accessed by third-party applications
Who needs Visual DLL:

Microsoft Visual Basic cannot create non-ActiveX/OLE DLL's.  Any Visual Basic programmer who has the requirements for creating standard Windows DLL's with true function exports can do so with Visual DLL.  And it works with 16 and 32-bit!

What about C++/Delphi Programmers:

If you have created an application that's extensible via Windows DLL's, you can expand your extensibility customer base by suggesting to your customers that they use Visual DLL Furthermore, if you have a VBX/OCX or some other Visual Basic functionality that you have the need to access from C/C++ or Delphi, then Visual DLL can package the Visual Basic code into a standard Windows DLL and provide to you standard C header and import library files which you can simply add to your C/C++ program and access the DLL as if it were written in C/C++ or Delphi.
